LA-SiGMA holds first annual Student Retreat, October 15, 2011
Thirty-five LA-SiGMA postdocs and graduate students participated in the first annual Student Retreat on the LSU Campus. Students and postdocs from LSU, SUBR, and LA Tech attended the retreat and gave presentations.
Students presented their LA-SiGMA research to one another and discussed ways to collaborate. Guest speakers Dr. Diola Bagayoko (SUBR) and Dr. Randall Hall (LSU) both gave presentations on their own careers and research. The students all enjoyed the retreat and are looking forward to next year's event.
